It was such an honor to capture Carrie and Sean’s wedding at the stunning Redeemed Farm in Scandia, Minnesota. This Minnesota wedding venue north of Minneapolis has a unique balance between rustic, modern elegance and a wedding photographer’s dream of natural light in every setting.
Carrie + Sean are true high school sweethearts. They met at an out of state missions trip and have been together ever since– including six years of military service and three college degrees. These two are truly meant for each other!
The first time I talked to Carrie and Sean on the phone, we immediately clicked! In fact, it was almost like seeing an old friend when we met for the first time for their engagement session. After connecting so well, I couldn’t help but be a little giddy to capture their wedding day.
I arrived at Redeemed Farm and Vineyard a bit early to familiarize myself with the farm and scout locations. You really can’t go wrong with Redeemed Farm Venue, there are beautiful photo backdrops in every direction. At this point I was so excited to start capturing their day.
The first portion of the day was to capture the brides beautiful details and getting ready for the wedding party. The ladies getting ready space at Redeemed Farm is absolutely perfect, with natural light and white interiors, making it great for photos and makeup.
After getting ready Carrie and Sean shared a special moment together and an emotional first look. Next up was all the formal portraits and family photos, which led us right up to ceremony time.
Their ceremony was short and full of love and happy tears. There wasn’t a single dry eye in that room as they read their hand written vows to each other. After sharing their first kiss, the couple headed outside to hang their engraved lock (form Redeemed Farm) on the corn silo.
The rest of the day was relaxed and fun, with an outdoor cocktail and yard games. Later ended the evening with dancing and spending time with loved ones.
